]]>As much as I love making it myself, I also love trying out restaurants that specialize in Biryanis. One such place is Behrouz Biryani
The menu features a fusion of different regions – Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan and of course, India, and this regional flavor is evident in their kebabs and grills, as well as the 11 different types of biryani they offer.

The Murgh Makhani Biryani that I tried, had its cooking style and flavor reminiscent of classic Mughal rice preparation, and while it was very rich, it wasn’t too spicy. However, I can’t really confirm if that’s the style they follow for the rest of their biryanis until I’ve tried them all
Coupled with a small salad, raita and a piece of gulab jamun, the portion was great for 2 people, and albeit a little pricey, it made for a complete meal.
Would I order it again? Yes, but definitely a spicier one like the Murgh Tikka Biryani.
The other items I tried along with the biryani was the mini kebab platter which featured a mix of their best grills, and spinach corn tikki – both of which came with a portion of roti on the side. And to wash it down I had the desi version of Ayran.

A great option for indulging in royal Indian Mughlai food. Their kebab variety as well as selection of different Biryanis is brilliant and deserves multiple orders so you can try them all!

]]>P.S. Did you notice the face on the soup? That was totally not planned!
#RashidaReviews
Their signature dishes that come with rice are a must try. For the price they offer, all this cost me less than 100 aed and it was good for 3-4 people. I’ll certainly be trying more of their food in the coming days.

I loved their sev puri, chicken tikka masala, tawa chicken, and matar pulao. The mutton keema bun was a filling snack, great for tea time. And that dry fruit lassi was to die for! The vada pav was slightly sweet for my taste, so if you like it spicy, make sure you ask them to go light on the sweet chutney, or skip it altogether.

]]>Quick delivery and the attention given to the packaging really ups the experience, especially when you really need to rely on efficiency given to securing the deliveries in these covid times.
Quick tip: If you are not having your acai as soon as it is delivered, make sure you store it in the freezer (not fridge), so the acai maintains its texture and doesn’t melt.

I would love to try their acai bowls next, and I’m definitely ordering the “make you own jar” soon.

]]>I ordered my tropical themed lunch from this trio concept restaurant last week, and for my Acai bowl, I chose ISLAND LIFE.
My acai bowl came with a base of acai berries blended with strawberries and banana. Keeping in line with the island theme, the toppings included a mix of mango, passion fruit, banana and coconut flakes. This was accompanied by granola for that added crunch.
#RashidaReviews
What I loved the most about this bowl was the quality of the ingredients, the variety of toppings to choose from and the care taken during packaging and transportation to avoid spoilage and spillage of any kind.

]]>I ordered my tropical themed lunch from this trio concept restaurant last week, and for my Poke bowl, I chose CHICKEN GONE WILD.
My poke bowl came with a base of brown rice and lettuce, and was topped with chunks of boneless chicken, avocado and beetroot, in addition to sweetcorn, carrots spring onions and sprouts. This was garnished with coriander and crispy onions and served with a side of sesame ponzu dressing.
#RashidaReviews
What I loved the most about this bowl was the freshness of the ingredients, the generous quantity of every single element in the bowl and the attention given to the packaging to make sure it is suitable for the food. This one came with an ice bag attached to it to maintain the freshness.

My toast came with a base of brown sourdough bread slathered with creamy avo mash, and dotted with red onions, tomatoes, sweetcorn and cotija cheese. It was garnished with coriander and served with half a lime on the side.

]]>The post Pinsanity | Dubailand appeared first on Rashida Blogs.
]]>Featuring the most unique toppings, Pinsanity makes a great choice for a lazy night in. We ordered 3 different pinsas including Sal’s Pal (lots of pepperoni), Truffle Snuffle (truffle and cheese heaven), and Nut Job (Nutella, ricotta and crushed nuts). The pepperoni pinsa was lit. So much meaty goodness on a light cripsy and fluffy crust made is just right to combat those salty cravings. The truffle pinsa was like a dream come true. We already know that truffle is my favoritest ingredient in the world, so having a pinsa topped with truffle and packed with a side of truffle oil was remarkable. I loved the buffalo mozzarella cheese pairing on this pinsa. The Nutella pinsa was simply wow! Of late I have had a strong affinity towards ricotta cheese, and this one paired with Nutella and walnuts was the perfect sweet fix.
With Pinsanity at your doorstep, I guess all you’d need is some Netflix to complete your Pinsa night!
#RashidaReviews
The pinsas were so so good. I only wish I wasn’t down with flu, or else I would have eaten way more pieces in one go. I can’t really pick my favorite from the 3, but the truffle was definitely closer to my heart than the others. My recommendation to them is to create more mix and match options, and include some chicken topping variety for the pinsas as well.

]]>The post Chin Chin | Home Delivery appeared first on Rashida Blogs.
]]>I am almost always skeptical about Chinese food deliveries. Most of the time the food arrives late and gets cold on the way, and other times the portion is too less than what would suffice the number of people I’ve ordered for. But Chin Chin completely changed my outlook by nailing every single thing right.
We ordered a bunch of different items for Christmas eve dinner – everything totalling up to approximately AED 200, and to my surprise, they delivered before time. Plus plus plus, the food was all fresh and hot, and the portions so generous, we knew we would be eating Chinese for lunch next day as well.
Here’s everything we ordered and what I loved the most:
Dynamite Shrimps – these were saucy and crunchy at the same time. Loved the spice level and the fact that they hadn’t gotten soggy at all.
Chicken Pepper Winglets – So so good. The chicken was tender and the marinade had flavoured the meat through and through.
Sweet and Sour Prawns – the mix of tangy flavors and fleshy prawns was a great combination. I have only tried this dish with chicken before and the prawns version tasted as good as the other.
Chilli Chicken – one of my favorites from Chinese cuisine, this mildly spicy gravy dish paired perfectly with the fried rice. The Indian in me wouldn’t mind having this with chapati either.
Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice – the first thing that wowed me about the fried rice was its portion. Although the rice was packed till the brim of the box, the flavors and texture was consistent throughout.
Prawns Hakka Noodles – again, the portion of this noodle dish was impressive. And since Hakka has always been my favorite, I happily munched them away. The prawns were scattered plenty throughout the noodles, so there was no need for a treasure hunt to find these nuggets.
I am pretty sure I will be ordering food from Chin Chin again pretty soon – especially their fried rice and noodles. The packaging is really good, the portions are a winner, and the prices make everything right.
#RashidaReviews
As I have mentioned multiple times already, what really really impressed me was that the food was hot on delivery and the portion sizes were generous. I can’t wait to have a free evening away from my regular tastings so I can order in their fried rice and noodles again!

]]>We tried two different salads from the fair variety of options they have. The Mediterranean Chickpeas & Feta Salad was my favorite. With a red and white quinoa base, this one came with lots of boiled chickpeas and feta cheese cubes, accompanied by fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and mixed leaves. The Mexican Grilled Chicken Salad was quite good too. Also with a quinoa base, this one was decked with marinated grilled chicken strips, followed by broad beans, bell peppers, corn, tomatoes, onions and mixed leaves.
In terms of plus points, the salads feature super healthy ingredients, and are quite filling, so you can be pretty sure one will be more than enough for you. The only minus point I felt was that the salad might feel a little dry, so probably drench it with the dressing, ask for one more portion of it, or simply top it with a healthy alternative like yogurt.
#RashidaReviews
The 500 Calorie Project has quite a few options on their menu, so I don’t think it is fair to decide whether I like this place or not until I have tried atleast a few. And I know I will be trying more of these soon, especially their Mega Protein Shrimp and Chickpea Salad, and the High Protein Roast Beef Salad. They also have a few options for Keto as well as detox salads, and I am pretty sure you can ask them to exclude cheese and turn any veggie salad into a vegan friendly one.
