This is probably the most difficult section to write about. Isn’t it? Talk too little about myself and I don’t to justice to my work and efforts. Talk too much, and I end up looking like a pompous show-off. Torn between the two options, here’s what comes to my mind: “When in doubt, overdress”. So here I am, overdressing myself, only so you get to know the real me. Now while I write this, I have to keep reminding myself that this is supposed to be an intro of me as an author (or a blogger if you may), not a CV.

The one and only person behind Rashida Blogs (formerly True To Taste). What have I done in life, a hell lot! What do I still have to do, a hell lot more! I like to think of myself as a predominantly left brained person, but with a strong affinity for listening to my right brain as well. Trying to perfect the balance between linear thinking and creativity, all my work – right from written articles, blogs to photos and videos – aim at reflecting an artful side of me, but with a strong sense of logicality.

I started blogging because of three things which I like to call my passion trio (totally just made that up):

My love for writing: Expression of thoughts matters a lot to me and words often seem like the best way to get those thoughts out there. I’m also great at varied writing – sarcastic, sweet, humorous, romantic, you name it and I will write that way in that tone. But I’m really bad at being boring, so don’t ask me to write anything that doesn’t involve being expressive.

My love for experiences: I won’t say I have been there and done that, ’cause no one can really do it all, but I definitely am on my way to going everywhere and doing everything. And I guess, by the time I die, I will manage to have checked off a fair share of my bucket list. Although my list is pretty long, and I’m often tempted to run through it as fast as I can, I constantly convince myself that I will complete the list, but it will happen at the pace it is supposed to happen. Tortoise or hare, how does that even matter?

My love for photography: Just like words, photos are an amazing way of capturing memories, emotions, and experiences into a tangible piece, so that you can live it over and over, just by looking at it. Learning photography techniques and upgrading my equipment regularly has helped me a lot on the path to being able to capture details in a way that it matters and appeals to the eye of the viewer.

So I decided to combine these three into a passion trio and create something that will be my legacy. And next thing I know, I’m buying a domain address for my very own blog!
