Life is filled with sweet things. All you need to do is look for it. Trying to discover something sweet and satisfying, I stumbled across Yummy Belgian Waffles & Crepes in Dubai Festival City. If are a regular at the DFC mall, you might have noticed their kiosk earlier. However, they decided to go all out and have now opened a petite café which is located in the new expansion of DFC mall, very close to the bay area.

Yummy Belgian Waffles & Crepes is very true to their name and to their roots. All their waffle dough comes straight from Belgium. So does their crepes mix. And so do their chocolates. We all know how delicious Belgian chocolates are. And these guys use the best of Belgian dark, Belgian white and Belgian milk chocolates. All melted to heavenly indulgent perfection.
The creamy ice cream scoops that top these doughy dishes are all from Häagen-Dazs. Moreover, all their fruits are locally sourced every single day to maintain the freshness of ingredients in their offerings and of course, their top notch flavor.

Yummy Pecans Waffle
This is the Yummy Pecans Waffle topped with my favorite ingredient – pecans! The second I saw pecans on their menu, I knew I had to have this. This waffle comes drizzled with a sweet honey and maple syrup that makes it lightly moist and sweet while still maintaining its doughy texture.
Here’s something you ought to know about their waffles. They are prepared using the original and authentic Belgian recipe of the Liege Waffle that comes down a line of rich culinary heritage. These waffles feature pearl sugar that caramelizes on the outside and melts inside when baked. This gives the waffles a soft yet crunchy texture which is quite unique. You can choose one of their signature creations or go for a plain waffle and pick your favorite toppings from an endless variety.
Icy Fruity Crepe
The Icy Fruity Crepe came with not one but two generous drizzles of melted Belgian milk chocolate and a creamy cool scoop of Häagen-Dazs ice cream. Of course, there are lots of fresh fruits too, which are not quite visible, because they are smothered in the sinfully delicious chocolate.
Mint Magic Crepe
Too much sweet? I realized that too. So I opted for the Mint Magic Crepe. Filled with melted cheddar and topped with spicy jalapenos, this one was served with Oman chips and a yogurt dip. The mint garnish just added a whole new level of fresh flavor to it.
