Small and cosy in size, but big on offerings, Al Karya Bakery’s extensive menu brings the best of pies, pizzas, manakish and more. Plus, they have a brand new sandwich collection which features some really good flavors packed within fresh bread.
Mini Pies
These tasted as pretty as they look. A mix of cheese, lahmeh (meat), pizza, muhammara (spicy), keshek (pumpkin), zaatar and spinach, these mini pies at Al Karya Bakery were certainly the bomb. The crust wasn’t too thick which perfectly balanced the topping. They are super affordable @ AED 3-4 per pie and super delicious too. My favorite was lahmeh, pizza and cheese.
Frisco Sandwich
This “new on the menu” sandwich at Al Karya Bakery brought together unique combination of crunchy baguette, grilled chicken, sweet corn and pickles. I liked that it was served hot, and the bread did not get chewy or stale even after the photo session it went through. In fact, it stayed fresh even when I got half of it back home. The sweet corn was a pleasant surprise.
Greek Salad
Classic Greek, this salad’s portion at Al Karya Bakery was just wow! Moreover, the veggies were fresh and the feta cheese was to die for. Their lemon dressing went hand in hand with the feta – sour kick!
Vegetarian Pizza
I would have chosen meat pizza if I could, but my dinner date was vegetarian, so I thought why not. Tbh, the veg pizza at Al Karya Bakery looked so generously topped I didn’t really miss the meat. Again, the crust was just right – thin and light. Definitely going back for their pepperoni pizza soon!
Mini Karya Sweet
You HAVE TO try this. And make sure you have the whole thing, because one bite and you will regret you agreed to share it. Priced @ 7 AED, this little puff pastry is filled with Nutella that oozes out in every bite. The pastry dough is so light and airy, you won’t really feel the guilt of indulging in a dessert.
