Filful – the hot new spot for Beiruti fare
Filful has just opened up at the most happening spot in town – Downtown Boulevard. We were at the restaurant last evening to find out more about this new location and its offerings, and needless to say, we were elated!
With a very upbeat ambience, and nitty grittys of a laidback Lebanese street eatery concept serving nostalgic Beiruti food, Filful offers a shortcut to this colorful Lebanese city right in Dubai! Think stone walls, canned cutlery holders, contemporary Beiruti music with staff humming to the tunes and live dancers even – it’s all a part of the experience.

Zaatar Manakish
Mixed Mezzeh – Tabouleh, Moutabal, Hummus, Vine leaves, Falafel, Batata Harra, Cheese rolls
Watermelon Feta Salad
Honestly the dishes were too delicious and too many to count, but my favorites from the selection were Watermelon Feta Salad, Batata Harra, Lahme bil ajin, Cheese Manakish, Chicken Shawarma and Mixed Grill.
Chicken Shawarma
Offered in a choice of chicken or beef, their Shawarmas are truly the bomb. Make sure you don’t leave Filful without trying one of these brilliant wraps.
Mixed Grills
Their chicken taouk in the mixed grill is quite commendable too. It is grilled so perfectly, it literally melts in your mouth. You can try this dish on its own or as a part of the mix.
Desserts
Filful also has a smart outdoor terrace area that serves a selection of shisha flavors. So if you prefer the outdoors or want to get your dose of grape mint, you can do it all at one place.

Yes, the food is delicious and the ambience upbeat, but the one thing that stands out about Filful is its hospitality. Right from friendly service to live music, Filful really welcomes its patrons with a display of generosity and humility.
In terms of food, there are so many dishes worth trying, it would be difficult to list them all. But definitely try their chicken shawarma, spicy lahme bil ajin and shish taouk.
